Hello and welcome to Vintage Airfix. My name is Daniel Parish and as a lifelong lover of Airfix I have always been astonished by the scope of plastic scale models produced by this British company whose name has become synonymous with the hobby, a plastic model of this type is often simply referred to as "an Airfix kit" even if made by another manufacturer. Airfix is the oldest UK manufacturer of plastic scale model kits and has been producing kits for the mass market since 1952. Now under the ownership of Hornby Hobbies Ltd, the Airfix brand goes from strength to strength whilst remaining one of the world’s most recognisable and best-loved toy brands.

This site lists the contents of all the Airfix catalogues from 1962 to the present day. Each kit listed on Vintage Airfix has the catalogue or patent number that the kit appears as, and which catalogue it appears in.

Vintage Airfix is compiled and owned by an Airfix enthusiast for Airfix enthusiasts worldwide to help them rekindle that childhood memory and learn a little bit more able Airfix and the kits they’ve produced over the years.

I spend a lot of time trawling specialised auctions for kits in a good to mint condition. This has led to the development of the “Notify Me” button. If you’re looking for a particular kit to either add to your collection or to re-experience the joy of building that kit from your childhood. I can help. By using the “Notify Me” button a list is created of all the kits people are looking for, this list I use at auctions to bid on the kits you want.

Delivery in the UK is via First Class Standard post or First Class Recorded (signed for) post. Large orders will been sent by Special Delivery and with extra insurance at no extra cost to you.
