Description
Battle of Britain Class "Biggin Hill" – Airfix kit R501, first issued in 1968, Series 5, listed in the Airfix catalogues from 1968 to 1979. Later renumbered 05651-7.
Built in 1946 for express passenger services, the 'Battle of Britain' class is easily recognised by the stream-lined casing. Most of the class are named after R.A.F. Squadrons or airfields. – Taken from the 6th edition catalogue (1968)
