Description
Coastal Defence Assault Set – Airfix kit 1693, first issued in 1971, Series 1, listed in the Airfix catalogues from 1971 to 1980. Later renumbered 51652-3, 40603-1.
This superb new set complements the range. A commando amphibious landing may be portrayed, attacking coastal defenses. Armoured vehicles supplied are tanks, a 155mm self-propelled gun and a DUKW amphibious truck. British commandos, German troops, tank traps and sand-bagged positions complete the set. – Taken from the 9th edition catalogue (1971)
