H.M.S. Shannon – Airfix kit 1285, first issued in 1954, Series 1, listed in the Airfix catalogues from 1962 to 1980. Later renumbered 66, 01266-1.
Famous in the time of Nelson, H.M.S. "Shannon" won fame when in 1830 she captured the United State "Chesapeake" off Boston. – Taken from the 1st edition catalogue (1962)
