Description
Armstrong Whitworth "Seahawk" – Airfix kit 105, first issued in 1959, Series 1, listed in the Airfix catalogues from 1962 to 1998. Later renumbered 01025-2, 61025-2, 9 61025, 2097.
The standard carrier-borne fighter bomber used by the Royal Navy as well as the German Navy forces, although with different vertical surfaces. This Airfix kit includes both types of transfers, and with the choice of fin and rudder supplied, either version of this aircraft could be modelled. With a speed of around 630 miles per hour, the "Seahawk" is powered by a Rolls Royce Nene 103 turbojet engine. – Taken from the 1st edition catalogue (1962)
