Description
Boeing Awacs E-3D Sentry – Airfix kit 12004, first issued in 1992, Series 12, listed in the Airfix catalogues from 1991 to 2002.
Acting as a highly advanced airbourne early warning system, or "Eye in the Sky", these aircraft contain the sophisticated communications system "Have Quick" which provides anti-jam contact both with other AWACS and ground stations, helping to fulfil their function as Airbourne Command Centres. – Taken from the 1991 edition catalogue
