Airfix Catalogue description:Suitable for a dock or factory area, the Airfix Travelling Crane can be constructed to travel on "00" gauge scale rail. When fully threaded and weighted, the crane can be used for lifting and transporting scale loads. The kit contains 58 parts and as can be seen from the illustration is remarkably well detailed. The height from ground level to the lower edge of the platform girders is 61mm. (2 1/2 inches) allowing for trains to pass through the crane base. The length of the boom is 155 mm. (6 inches) and the height to the top of the cab 132mm. (5 inches). - Taken from the 1st edition catalogue (1962)
