Airfix Catalogue description:

131 detailed parts make this magnificent scale model of the world's largest liner. Her maiden voyage from the Clyde to New York on March 2nd, 1940 was a closely guarded war-time secret. Afterwards she served as a troop ship until the war ended. Completely reconditioned, she was virtually a new ship when she made her first commercial voyage on October 16th, 1946. - Taken from the 2nd edition catalogue (1963)
