Quick Painting Ships Tips
Start by laying all the parts on a tray and identifying them with the instructions. Small pieces should be painted before assembly and this is more easily done while they are still on their sprue or stem. To obtain a satisfactory finish on large surfaces, make sure that each piece is free from any grease. This can be done by washing larger parts in a detergent solution. A clear sharp hull line can best be obtained by using a mask of adhesive or some similar material. For attaching the small pieces a pair of stamp tweezers will be found most useful.

Spitfire flights from IntoTheBlue

Spitfire FlightsYour chance to experience Spitfire flights from privileged positions both on the ground and from the air as you get airborne in a helicopter to fly side by side these most majestic of Second World War fighter aeroplanes.

Whichever of our two Spitfire flights activities you choose, you can be assured that this will make for a truly unforgettable gift for any fan of classic RAF aircraft. It's also your opportunity to take some super air-to-air photos of the Spitfire as she roars alongside and past you in the skies above the Kent coastline. Truly magical!

WWII Spitfire Experience
This WWII Spitfire experience allows you to witness a specially choreographed airborne Spitfire display from the comfort of an executive Helicopter. As well as flying straight and level alongside you the spitfire will also perform breathtaking high speed aerobatics and flypasts. The helicopter flight lasts approximately 20 minutes with a 15 minute synchronised display from the Spitfire. You'll enjoy a unique vantage point to capture spectacular views and photographs of the aircraft in flight.

Fly with a Spitfire - Platinum Package
Your experience lasts approximately two and a quarter hours and includes a helicopter tour accompanied by in flight displays and aerobatics from an authentic Spitfire aircraft. In total you will be airborne for approximately an hour and quarter. All guests will receive a mounted souvenir photograph signed by the pilot. Lunch and two complimentary drinks are included per guest. The Helicopter seats six guests in comfort, your helicopter pilot will provide a running commentary through headphones. If guests are the right shape and size they may be able to climb into the Spitfire cockpit to be photographed (at pilots discretion).
