Standard advanced R.A.F. trainer, the Gnat has a performance comparable with present-day fighters. The graceful lines of this jet plane are captured in the detailed model reproduced from 43 parts. Complete with long range tanks and optional rocket armament.

From 1974 (11th Edition Catalogue) this kit became the Hawker Siddeley Gnat of the Red Arrows. It's the early 'Folland' Gnat that is scarce.

New Tooling of this kit in 2011 re-introduced the RAF flying training school option.
