The following description is taken from the first appearance of this kit in an Airfix Catalogue.

With its two white stars denoting suitablilty for high speed operation, this Airfix Tank Wagon kit contains 46 parts modelled on the Esso Class "B" type suitable for carrying up to 35 tons of fuel oil, diesel oil or Kerosene. The kit is moulded in matt black plastic and if built as illustrated will need little painting apart from buffers and axle boxes.
