The following description is taken from the first appearance of this kit in an Airfix Catalogue.

Airfix step forward in time to the 21st Century with this new Science Fiction construction kit in the Snapfix range. Cosmic Clipper is a composite spaceship for patrol and exploration work. As well as the Command Vessel which acts as a docking base, there is an Attack Interceptor and a small Shuttle Craft; all can be assembled together or detached separately. There are 55 parts in the kit and the overall size of the completed model is 305mm.
