Quick Paint Tip
Occasionally deposits of white matting agent can be seen when using Matt or Satin varnish. This can be easily rectified by applying a coat of gloss varnish which will dissolve the matting agent. A coat of Matt or Satin varnish can then be re-applied.

The following description is taken from the first appearance of this kit in an Airfix Catalogue.

This is the first of a new series of Meseum Models reproducing in miniature fundamental scientific and engineering principles. This model of the steam powered beam engine is fully working and powered by a small electric motor provided in the kit.
