The following description is taken from the first appearance of this kit in an Airfix Catalogue.
Used extensively by German Air Force in the first World War, the Albatross D.V. sometimes lost its wings in a steep dive. It was replaced in 1917 by the Fokker Tri-plane. Painted in vivid colours, this model is historical and a striking addition to any collection.
