The following description is taken from the first appearance of this kit in an Airfix Catalogue.

For our second kit we have chosen to model a private of the famous 'Black Watch'. This regiment also fought at Waterloo and, although heavily outnumbered, held firm against repeated attacks by the French Cavalry, despite losing over 300 officers and men killed or wounded.
